Pilanesberg Game Walks
South Africa’s Pilanesberg National Park is one of the country’s largest protected areas. Situated just two hours north of Johannesburg, the park is the ideal weekend safari destination. It is malaria-free and is home to a wide variety of animal and bird species, including the famous African Big 5: lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant. These walking safaris are the ideal way to explore the open grasslands and wooded valleys of the region. Walking safaris are unique and thrilling, allowing you to get more up close to your surroundings than you would on a traditional game drive. The walks are led by registered guides, who will share their extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna with you. The game walks depart daily in the early morning and last for around 4 hours.
