Tau Game Lodge, Madikwe

Tau Game Lodge is a large 30-roomed camp in the north-western corner of the Madikwe Game Reserve. The camp is surrounded by the rocky Tshwene-Tshwene Hills and overlooks a prominent dam, which attracts good concentrations of game and plays host to superb birdlife during the day. Although it’s a large camp, the individual chalets are suitably positioned along the waterhole, offering private views of the water and surrounding bushveld. The rooms are well furnished and cosy. The main lodge is large, elaborate and expertly furnished and decorated. There are a variety of different dining venue options which are rotated during a guest’s stay. The food is good and the staff are polite and affable. Tau has its own modern, top-class conference centre which can accommodate as many as 120 delegates. For larger conferences, guests are accommodated in other camps in Madikwe. There is also an extensive health spa in-camp, providing a variety of alternative treatments to help rejuvenate the weariest travelers.
