Desert Camp, Namib Desert

Desert Camp in Namibia provides self-catering accommodation at its best! It is situated on the doorstep of the park, only 5km from the gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon. It provides a fantastic 180-degree view of the surrounding desert landscape and mountains. The camp is the perfect base for nature and landscape photography enthusiasts. Desert Camp is made up of affordable self-catering accommodation units, which have a low impact and eco-friendly design. The tented suites are under canvas with adobe-style walls. They have twin beds, as well as fold-out sleeper couches, where two small children (under 12) can be accommodated free of charge if shared with two full-paying adults. There are also en-suite bathrooms with showers, toilets and wash basins, barbecue facilities, electricity power points, adjacent parking areas, and shaded verandas with fitted kitchenettes. The camp's facilities include an ice-cold swimming pool, a fully stocked and serviced bar with a big screen television, and 2 communal bomas with cooking and wash-up facilities, which are perfect for groups travelling together. Guests can book meals and adventure activities at Sossusvlei Lodge, located nearby. Guests can also order fresh food supplies from reception, and private chefs are available on request. The nearby Sossus Oasis provides a stocked utility shop, fuel and service station, and an Internet café.
